In 1973, possibly 1972, a trip to Tasmania was mooted for members of the Motor Scooter and Cycle Association of Victoria. After a year of planning the trip happened from Boxing Day 26th December 1973 and 11th January 1974.

46 motorcycles took part in the trip around Tasmania.
