1st November 2014 - On its 41st anniversary Air Niugini launched Link PNG - A Low Cost Carrier based in Port Moresby.

The first Chief Executive Officer of Link PNG is Captain Daniel Wanma.

2015

April 2015 - Link PNG commences first flight to Losuia airport in Kiriwina (Trobriand Islands), Milne Bay province on Friday, 25th April 2015.  Commercial flights to Kiriwina actually commenced on the 30th March with the official launch in April.  All Link PNG services are operated by the airline’s Dash 8 fleet.

May 2015 - All female crew. Link PNG’s flight PX 900/901 on 29th May 2015 goes down in the history of the airline as the first all women aircrew took to the skies of Papua New Guinea.

December 2015 - Link PNG receives its Air Operator's Certificate after successfully completing its Air Operator review conducted by Civil Aviation Safety Authority, PNG (CASA PNG).
