- Do I have to worry about crime while I am in PNG?
Please advise me in which country I do not have to worry about crime and I will move there. As with any country you must be aware that crime exists. There may be someone trying to pick your pocket or someone trying to sell you a "cheap" watch on the street. From personal experience crime in Port Moresby is not as bad as say Rome, Paris or Los Angeles but could be considered worse than Singapore but then again a crime in Singapore is not necessarily a crime in any other part of the world.
My suggestion is be aware of your surroundings and have a good time. If you leave Port Moresby then you will have an even better time as Port Moresby suffers from the “big city” syndrome.

- how does the average family live in png?
A good question, but a very difficult one to answer. With over 800 languages in PNG there is really no such thing as an avergae family although the majority of the population would be considered subsistance farmers so they live by farming the land and eating what they produce and / or swap / sell to others.
