- Who is James Segeyaro?
Rugby League - James Segeyaro was born in Goroka and arrived in Queensland at the age of seven. The talented hooker was a great find for the Cowboys in 2011, making his debut in round three and finishing the year with 19 first-grade appearances and selection ahead of well-credentialed Aaron Payne for the qualifying final. He turned 21 in November 2011 and looks a likely Kumuls captain in years to come.

- Who is Paul Aiton?
Rugby League - Paul Aiton -- Tiny, tough and willing to bend the rules, Aiton grew up in Mount Hagen before moving to Australia before his teenage years. He played four seasons of senior footy for Penrith, often as reserve hooker off the bench, but has gone to a new level since joining Cronulla in 2010. He has captained the Kumuls and belies his size with a fierce approach to the game.

- Who is David Mead?
Rugby League - David Mead was one of the most improved backs in the NRL in 2011. Already a PNG representative, he has said he would like to emulate Adrian Lam (his sometime national coach) and play for Queensland as well. Mead worked very hard in a struggling Gold Coast outfit this season. Anyone who didn't notice his efforts on both sides of the ball learned his name in a hurry when he scored what would, in any Ben Barba-less year, have been the try of the year.

- Who is Neville Costigan?
Rugby League - Neville Costigan stands barely 180cm but is one of the most feared forwards in the game. The hard nut from Rabaul has a low centre of gravity and hits like a charging rhino. His NRL career began with Brisbane in 2003 and has taken him since to Canberra, St George-Illawarra and now Newcastle. A second-rower with ball skills, Nasty Nev is equally effective in attack or defence. At times his aggression has seen him overstep the mark and he has had judiciary issues, but no opponent runs the ball with confidence when Costigan is around.

- Who is Marcus Bai?
Rugby League - Marcus Bai -- An electrifying winger, Bai is one of only seven men to play in a winning grand final in both the NRL and Super League. He is also the only player to have been part of three World Club Challenge-winning sides. He grew up in West New Britain and played his debut season for the Gold Coast Chargers, but is best known as a foundation player at Melbourne Storm. He played 144 matches for Storm from 1998-2003 and was a fan favourite with his speed, footwork and finishing ability. Bai was Dally M Winger of the Year in 1998. When he went to the UK he played two great seasons with the Leeds Rhinos, scoring 42 tries in 63 matches, before a final year at Bradford in 2006.

- Who is Adrian Lamb?
I think you mean Adrian Lam.
Rugby League - Adrian Lam was a gifted player who is now an emerging coach, Lam left PNG for Queensland at the age of seven. He played 146 games for the Roosters, mainly as halfback and almost always paired with Brad Fittler, with whom he forged a fine partnership. He represented Queensland at Origin level as well as captaining his country. Slight but highly competitive, Lam's game was based around shrewd kicking and the ability to play the ball at the line. He has had several brushes with controversy — the first over his eligibility for Origin, then over a home-made sex tape that was illegally sold in Sydney sex stores, and latterly when former Queensland teammate Dale Shearer was ordered to repay him a $1.5m loan. Despite these hiccups, he is considered a potential NRL senior coach.

These pages need your help - If you know an answer to a FAQ about PNG that isn't here or is here and is wrong please let me know. Ask a question - Submit a questionPlease note that this is not "Ask Jeeves" - you cannot type a whole sentence as your query. Enter a single word, a phrase, or several words and press search.
Please remember that this is a FAQ database about Papua New Guinea.
Doing a search for PNG or New Guinea or even P.N.G will probably not return much. Keep the search simple. i.e. if you want to find out the population simply enter "population" without the quotes. There is no need to have PNG / P.N.G or whatever in the search string.
Also - Spelling is important searching for 'inkom' will not return items related to 'income'. If you are searching Lady Carol Kidu just enter Carol Kidu or even Kidu. You are not searching the WWW only these FAQ's so the topic has already been narrowed to PNG related topics for you.
